Company History

1963 MayTohshin Seiko Co., Ltd established in the city of Sendai, Miyagi-Prefecture, Japan.
1977 AugustMold/Die Dept, Press Stamping and Injection Molding Dept moved to a new factory built in town of Watari, Miyagi-Prefecture. Today it is called Sendai Factory.
1985 AprilSodegasawa Factory newly built in Watari for exclusive operation of press stamping.
1992 AprilA precision injection molding factory constructed in Malaysia as Tohshin Precision (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.
1995 JanuaryTohshin Precision (Malyasia) Sdn Bhd started design and production of precision mold.
1996 NovemberHong Kong Branch started operation.
1999 AprilSendai Factory and Sodegasawa Factory certified to ISO14001.
2000 AprilSendai Factory expanded with new facilities for mold/die manufacturing.
2000 AugustSendai Factory and Sodegasawa Factory certified to ISO9001.
2000 SeptemberCapital increased to 300 million yen.
2006 JanuaryTohshin Precision (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and Maxell Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd merged to start as a new company, Maxell Tohshin (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.
2008 AprilTooling Dept of former Maxell Hi Tech, Ltd merged to the company as Tsukuba Factory.
2008 SeptemberChina Office opened in DongGuan, GuangDong Province.
2009 JulyTohshin Seiko Co., Ltd and Nagano Optics Laboratory Corporation merged to form a new company Maxell Finetech Ltd. The capital raised to one billion yen.
